Professional presentations changed in 1981 when Sam Cole, partner of the accounting firm of Billups, Arnn & Co., in Oklahoma City, endorsed the idea of founding a company dedicated to creating high-image presentations. The timing was right. This prominent firm, founded in the 1940′s, had just learned that two major clients were switching to larger firms to “enhance their financial image.”
A few weeks later, Sam Cole emerged from a meeting of the partners and handed Bill Lockhart a large order for custom presentation covers. He also noted a problem with the binding technique of the prototype sample. This problem became the “mother of invention.” It led to the development of a totally new concept of binding with concealed staples – and the design of The Lockhart Presentation Collection™
